Japan Airlines selects Boeing for AI maintenance solution, 787 cabin upgrades

Japan Airlines (JAL) will employ the Insight Accelerator program it helped develop with Boeing to plan predictive maintenance and reduce unscheduled maintenance by application of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The oneworld alliance member also has selected Boeing to provide engineering work and supply component kits for the reconfiguration and upgrade to the interiors of its 787 fleet. “It is an honour to bring JAL’s vision for 787 cabin interiors to life through our cabin modifications,” Boeing Global Services vice president of commercial modifications, engineering and specialty products, Kate Schaefer, said. “We are pleased to support all aspects of the design, integration and certification for these interiors.”
