Garuda Indonesia agrees engine services contract with GE Aerospace

GE Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Garuda Indonesia to provide training and skills development, lease engine support and overhaul services for the airline group's CFM56-7B and GE90-115B engines. Read More » “This longstanding collaboration of services and support between Garuda Indonesia Group and GE Aerospace reflects our commitment to accelerate our business recovery in order to optimise our mission to be adaptive and agile company specially in seizing market opportunity,” Garuda Indonesia CEO, Irfan Setiaputra, said. GE Commercial Programs vice president for GE Aerospace, Kathy MacKenzie, added: “This is a strategic step for Garuda Indonesia as a world class airline to strengthen its fleet of GE and CFM aircraft engines and develop more overhaul services skills with our support.” Garuda Indonesia has 74 CFM56-7B and 16 GE90-115B engines in its fleet and its Citilink subsidiary operates 76 CFM56-5B and 20 LEAP-1A engines.
