Garuda Indonesia agrees engine services contract with GE Aerospace

GE Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Garuda Indonesia to provide training and skills development, lease engine support and overhaul services for the airline group's CFM56-7B and GE90-115B engines. GE Commercial Programs vice president for GE Aerospace, Kathy MacKenzie, added: “This is a strategic step for Garuda Indonesia as a world class airline to strengthen its fleet of GE and CFM aircraft engines and develop more overhaul services skills with our support.” Garuda Indonesia has 74 CFM56-7B and 16 GE90-115B engines in its fleet and its Citilink subsidiary operates 76 CFM56-5B and 20 LEAP-1A engines.
