Akasa Air orders four 737 MAX 8s

At the Paris Air Show on June 21, India’s newest LCC, Akasa Air, announced it had ordered four more 737 MAX 8s. Read More » The additional aircraft increased Akasa's order book to 23 737 MAX 8s and 53 737 MAX 8. Akasa, which launched operations in 2022, has 19 737 MAX 8s in its fleet. “In addition to supporting our rapid domestic expansion, these airplanes allow us to take full advantage of category leading 737-8 aircraft, with its unparalleled range, as we prepare our foray on to international routes,” Akasa Air CEO, Vinay Dube, said. Boeing senior vice president commercial sales and marketing, Brad McMullen, said: “This follow-on order from Akasa demonstrates the market-leading capabilities of the 737 MAX in the world's fastest-growing commercial aviation market.”
