Mainland network capacity to Sydney Airport increased by 700% since January

Read More » “The recovery of the China market continues to impress, with passengers flying Mainland routes increasing seven-fold since the start of the year,” Culbert said. “Capacity in this market will expand in July with seven airlines flying 48 return services per week between China and Sydney. This is one of the strongest China recoveries of any international airport globally, providing a critical boost to Australia’s tourism industry and the economy.” Sydney Airport processed three million passengers in May, up 24.4% from 2.4 million air travellers in the same month in 2022, but 14.3% below the pre-COVID-19 numbers of 3.5 million passengers four years ago.
