Capital A chief sustainability officer, Yap Mun Ching, said aviation was a hard-to-abate sector, which meant decarbonisation required the collaborative effort of all industry stakeholders to meet the goal of net zero emissions by 2050. Capital A is the parent company of AirAsia Aviation Group. “Today is the first time we are bringing together all our key stakeholders from government officials, regulators, financial institutions, aviation analysts, business partners and the media, to advance their understanding of the intricacies of aviation sustainability,” Yap said. “As we rebuild our business post-pandemic, we are broadening and deepening our sustainability agenda by incorporating robust ESG practices in our strategic priorities so we recover stronger and better.”
