Hong Kong lessor chooses GTF engines for A320neo order

China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pratt & Whitney to acquire the GTF engine for its recent firm order of 10 A320neos plus options for 50 more of the type. Read More » CALC said it is the first China-based lessor to select the GTF engine for A320neo family aircraft. “GTF-powered A320neo family aircraft are a key part of our portfolio, offering our airline customers world-class fuel efficiency and emissions, resulting in lower operating costs,” CALC CEO, Mike Poon, said. Pratt & Whitney president commercial engines, Rick Deurloo, added: “Combining the industry-leading sustainability of our GTF engine with CALC’s presence in the Asia-Pacific, we are working together on more economically and environmentally friendly connectivity in one of the fastest growing regions for aviation.”
