China Airlines to inaugurate Taipei-Kumamoto in September

China Airlines (CAL) is responding to increasing demand for tourism and business travel to Japan by launching Taipei-Kumamoto on September 18. Read More » With two return flights weekly, CAL said the route will complement its existing 14 Taipei-Fukuoka services a week. The new biweekly rotation will operate on Mondays and Fridays with A321neo. “Due to the rapid recovery in post-pandemic travel, China Airlines has made multiple chartered flights between Taipei and Kumamoto since March,” the flag carrier said. “Taiwan-Japan routes have long been a part of the China Airlines network with services now restored to more than 100 round trip flights per week [between the two countries] since their borders opened.”
