Kuala Lumpur International Airport reports 3.8 million passengers for May

Malaysia’s biggest airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), handled 3.8 million passengers in May, an increase of 94% over the 2 million passengers it processed in the same month in 2022. Read More » The result also was an improvement from the 3.6 million passengers it recorded in April. KLIA's passengers for the reported month were 81.7% of the 4.7 million domestic and international passengers who travelled through KLIA in pre-pandemic May 2019. KLIA’s operator, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), said its airports in Malaysia booked significant increases in international passengers from China, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates in May and that the domestic market also strengthened, underpinned by school holidays, the Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) in Langkawi and the Raya festive season.
