Top India court grants lessors access to Go First aircraft

Read More » Lessors will be permitted to inspect and complete maintenance of their aircraft at least twice a month, the court has ruled. The airline, majority-owned by Wadia Group, grounded its fleet at the start of May and filed for insolvency with India's National Company Law Tribunal, reporting issues with the Pratt & Whitney engines that power its A320 family fleet. At the end of June, the India-headquartered LCC applied to the country's Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to return 22 aircraft to service operating a mix of commercial and charter flights. The proposed resumption of services followed on from creditor-backed approval of a 4.5 billion rupee (US$55 million) interim funding package.
