Hong Kong International Airport at 60% of pre-COVID operations
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded 3.3 million passengers for June, 52.3% of the 6.3 million travellers processed four years ago and an increase over pre-pandemic levels of 49.8% in May. Read More » Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) executive director for airport operations, Steven Yiu, said HKIA reached a post-pandemic daily high of 127,000 passengers on June 25. “With the steady recovery of air traffic, we are pleased to welcome new airlines to HKIA and to see existing airlines adding flight routes,” Yiu said. “HKIA is working closely with airlines and other business partners to welcome more passengers during the summer travel season and to reinforce the airport’s status as an international aviation hub.”
