Singapore Airlines group records strong passenger traffic across global network

Singapore Airlines (SIA) group carriers flew 3 million passengers in July, up 45.1% from 2.1 million customers in the same month a year earlier. Read More » The July figure was 3.7% higher than the 2.9 million passengers Singapore Airlines and Scoot transported in June. “In July, the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group continued to see strong passenger traffic and load factors across all route regions during the peak northern summer travel season,” SIA said in a regulatory filing. Encouragingly, Scoot registered a passenger load factor above 90% in the 31 days for its ninth consecutive month. Compared with pre-COVID-19 traffic, the passenger numbers of the two airlines were 91.7% of the 3.3 million travellers they transported in the same month in 2019. Available seat kilometres were 89.7% of the group’s operating capacity four years ago.
