Regulator certifies Embraer E195-E2 for flying in China

The Civil Aviation Administration of China has authorised the operation of the Embraer E195-E2 in China. Read More » The CAAC certification opens the door for sales of the next generation jet, which seats 120-146 passengers, on the Mainland. The CAAC certified Embraer’s E190-E2 last November. “We are excited to have both the E190-E2 and E195-E2 certified by the CAAC,” Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO, Arjan Meijer, said. “Our team is actively working with potential customers and making good progress. There are significant opportunities for the E2 in China as it offers complementary capacity to China’s ARJ21 and C919 aircraft. Combined, they provide flexible, efficient and eco-friendly options for Chinese airlines, meeting demand in the world’s fast growing air transportation market.” The E195-E2 has been in service since 2019.
