Philippine Airlines (PAL) said it was resuming flights to Cotabato, located about 480nm south of Manila, from October 1 after repairs to the airport's runway have been completed. Read More » The airline has scheduled three routes to Cotabato - a daily nonstop service to both Manila and Cebu, as well as a twice-weekly flight to Tawi-Tawi. "We welcome the reopening of Cotabato's Awang Airport for full operations by larger aircraft," PAL Express president, Rabbi Vincent Ang, said "We look forward to serving the people of Cotabato and our passengers traveling to and within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao with our flights from Manila, Cebu and Tawi-Tawi, and congratulate the aviation authorities and the BARMM government for the efforts to upgrade infrastructure in the interests of safety and efficiency."
