Turkish Airlines yet to hear from Australia on flight request

Read More » Turkish Airlines was seeking additional flights beyond the seven frequencies available under the bilateral air services agreement between the two countries, as well as fifth-freedom rights. Talks to expand the bilateral were between the governments of Australia and Turkey. Kutluoglu described the discussions as slow. "To this day we are still expecting a reply," Kutluoglu said. "Our first plan was to start it December. Now it doesn't seem possible. I don't know how long these things usually take in Australia. Usually from our perspective we usually act a bit quicker."
