Korean Air to restore network to above 90% of pre-pandemic flying

Korean Air (KAL) said capacity or Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) will be more than 90% of pre-COVID operations from late this month against 85% in September. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member will inaugurate daily Seoul Incheon-Phu Quoc on November 26 and resume Busan-Shanghai (daily), Incheon-Xiamen (daily) and Incheon-Kunming (four times weekly) in the same time frame.

It also will return Incheon to Kagoshima, Niigata and Okayama each at three times a week. “Network recovery in China and Japan has been relatively slower compared with other regions. The resumptions will help the airline restore its expansive global network,” KAL said. It added it will build frequency on existing routes to China, North America, Oceania, Japan and Southeast Asia.
