Boeing contracted orders for 224 commercial airlines and delivered 27 aircraft last month

Boeing received commitments for 224 commercial aircraft in September, increasing its gross orders this year to 848 airliners. Read More » Net of cancellations and conversions, the company had firm contracts for 724 aircraft at September 30 compared with 510 aircraft orders a month earlier. Boeing delivered 27 airplanes to customers in the 30 days, increasing deliveries to 371 to date. Clients accepted 15 737 MAXs during the month at a time the type’s output was impacted by a manufacturing defect identified by supplier Spirit Aerosystems. It was the smallest number of 737 MAXs Boeing has delivered in a single month since August 2021 when it handed over 14 of the narrow-bodies to clients.
