China Airlines passengers increase 459.9% in September

CAL generated TW$7.9 billion (US$245 million) in passenger revenue for the 30 days, up 295.1% from the TW$2 billion it recorded a year earlier. Passenger revenue declined 14.1%, from TW$9.2 billion in the previous month. Compared with pre-pandemic air traffic, the flag carrier’s September passenger total was 67.5% of the 1.2 million customers it flew in the same month in 2019. Passenger revenue was 112.9% of the TW$7 billion CAL earned four years ago. Capacity was 85.2% of September 2019 operations.
