Malaysia Police arrest MYAirline co-founder along with two family members

The co-founder and major shareholder of grounded Malaysian carrier, MYAirline, Allan Goh Hwan Hua, was arrested by Malaysia Police on October 17, local media reports citing comments from a police spokesperson. Police are investigating potential offences under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act, the reports said. MYAirline grounded all operations last week, citing financial pressures. It is seeking new investors and working on a restructure and recapitalisation plan. The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) suspended MYAirline's air operator certificate earlier this week.
