Emirates Airline signs SAF deal with Neste for Amsterdam and Singapore flights

Emirates Airline has concluded a deal with Neste for three million gallons of blended sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with deliveries in 2024 and 2025. Read More » The blended SAF, 30% SAF and 70% conventional Jet A-1 fuel, is earmarked for Emirates flights departing from Amsterdam and Singapore airports. “Today’s announcement is a milestone for Emirates and represents the acceleration of SAF procurement for our operations,” Emirates president, Sir Tim Clark, said. “Our ongoing partnership with Neste demonstrates our active engagement and support of the rapidly developing SAF industry. We hope the robust demand from Emirates and other airlines encourages scaling up of SAF and other emerging clean propulsion technologies.” Singapore will be the Gulf carrier’s first city in the Asia-Pacific where it will uplift SAF for its flights, joining Paris, Lyon and Oslo.
