Cebu Pacific confirms plans for expanding fleet by 100-140 aircraft

Read More » The company is moving forward on issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to Airbus and Boeing for the potential order. “Cebu Air Inc. would like to confirm news reports regarding discussions and considerations for an aircraft order,” the LCC said in a regulatory filing. “Issuing the RFP is the first step in a meticulously planned process, which will involve a thorough technical and economic evaluation of narrow body aircraft manufactured by Airbus and Boeing,” the airline said. We would like to emphasise a firm commitment to purchase aircraft from either manufacturer will be made at the successful conclusion of such a process.” The LCC operates an all-Airbus fleet of A320 family aircraft and A330s. It previously flew 757-200s and McDonnell Douglas DC9s.
