Read More » The Star Alliance member is also flying five times a day to Sydney during the busy end-of-year travel period between December 2 2023 and January 14 2024. “We are pleased to be able to bring our Sydney flights back to our pre-COVID frequency of five flights daily,” SIA regional vice president for South West Pacific, Louis Arul, said. “Demand for travel to and from Sydney has bounced back strongly from the pandemic and the additional daily service will provide further room for growth as travellers enjoy more connecting options through Singapore Changi Airport to major cities in Asia and Europe." Sydney Airport CEO, Geoff Culbert, said: “Sydney Airport is really proud to be Singapore Airlines’ home away from home, and it is clear that Sydneysiders can’t get enough of their world class service. It looks like 2024 is going to be a bumper year for international travel at Sydney Airport, with extra capacity coming online not just from Singapore but also from other key markets, including China and Indonesia." Cathay Pacific recently announced it was back to a pre-pandemic schedule between Sydney and Hong Kong with four flights a day.
