Korean Air returns to pre-pandemic Japan network

Korean Air's (KAL) Japan network will be back at pre-pandemic levels by January next year, following the restart of nonstop flights to Aomori and Komatsu. Read More » The Skyteam alliance member said its Seoul Incheon-Komatsu service was due to recommence on December 28, while Incheon-Aomori flights were due to take off from January 20. KAL has scheduled three flights a week for both routes. "With the resumption to Komatsu and Aomori, Korean Air is restoring its pre-pandemic Japan network out of Seoul Incheon to the following 12 destinations: Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Niigata, Okayama, Kagoshima, Okinawa, Komatsu and Aomori," KAL said "In addition to post-pandemic travel demand, the weak Japanese Yen has boosted travel demand to Japan. The airline will continue to monitor and respond to strong global travel demand."
