Ethiopian Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 11 A350-900s. The Star Alliance member has 20 A350-900s in its fleet. The MoU lifts the airline’s orders and commitments for the type to 33 aircraft: four A350-1000s and 29 A350-900s.

In other Ethiopian Airlines news, the flag carrier will acquire 11 787-9s, with options for another 15 787 aircraft, and also for 20 737 MAXs with options for another 21 of the type.

Eve Holding and Hunch Mobility aim to start electric commuter flights in India’s Bangalore with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney Canada have signed a 10-year contract with Emirates Airline for maintenance services on the carrier's A380 PW980 auxiliary power units.

Emirates also has committed to a base maintenance services contract with Lufthansa Technik for its A380s. The MRO will conduct C checks on the aircraft feet, carried out over three years, at Lufthansa Technik Philippines in Manila. The contract is in addition to agreements Emirates has signed with GAMECO and HAECO for A380 C checks.

Safran Nacelles will provide Saudia with support for the airline's 35 A320neo family aircraft. The narrow-bodies are powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. The contract includes access to a shared pool of equipment and parts and guaranteed MRO services support.
