Air New Zealand (Air NZ) flew 1.28 million passengers on its domestic and international networks last month, up 2.1% from the 1.25 million customers it carried a year ago. Read More » The Star Alliance member said capacity, or available seat kilometres (ASK), was 40% higher than October 2022. “The overall increase in group capacity largely was driven by the resumption of the international network following the full re-opening of New Zealand’s border post-COVID,” Air NZ said. The carrier’s long-haul ASKs were higher by 79.6% while short haul international ASKs increased by 16.8%.
