China’s ARJ21 and C919 receives warm welcome in Hong Kong

Hong Kong has marked the arrival of the ARJ21 and C919 to the city with an official welcoming ceremony at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Read More » The two Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) aircraft touched down at HKIA on December 12 and were greeted with a water cannon salute, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) chief executive, John Lee, and representatives from the manufacturer, Airport Authority Hong Kong, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and various government officials. Both aircraft are on static display at HKIA, with officials conducting tours of the cabins for invited guests. The aircraft will fly over Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour on December 16.
