Japan Airlines booked US$578 million net profit for nine months to year-end 2023

JAL Group has reported an 85.8 billion yen (US$578 million) net profit for the three quarters to December 31 last year, more than five times its net profit of 16.3 billion yen in the same months in 2022. The parent company of Japan Airlines posted revenue of 1.2 trillion yen for the period, a 24.2% improvement from the same months in 2022 and 12.3% above sales in April to December 2019. “Overall, passenger numbers are steadily recovering,” JAL Group said, reconfirming its fiscal year outlook to March 31 of an 80 billion yen net profit and revenue of 1.7 trillion yen.
