China Eastern Airlines flew 11.3 million passengers in January

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) reported passenger numbers increased 63.5% last month from 6.9 million air travellers a year earlier. Read More » Domestic passengers flown by the Shanghai-based airline were higher by 45.8%, at 9.8 million customers, and international passengers carried jumped 1,329.9% to 1.1 million. Capacity expanded 66% for the reported period and passenger load factor was 9.1 percentage points higher, at 77.4%. CEA had a fleet of 782 aircraft at January 31.
