If acquired, the new aircraft will service Western Australia’s 100-seat charter market,” VA said. “The potential replacement aircraft types will provide superior performance compared with the F100, lower fuel consumption and emissions from geared turbofan engines, enhanced customer product and improved operational performance.” In April 2022, VA said it was working towards retiring its 10 Fokker 100s with 737-700s. Since then, it has taken delivery of seven 737-700s previously flown by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and reduced its Fokker fleet to four of the type, fleet tracking data shows.
