Hong Kong International Airport reports 96.5% passenger growth in February

Read More » Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said the Lunar New Year holiday, which fell in the second week of February this year, “drove higher traffic among all passenger segments”, with passengers to and from Southeast Asia, China and Taiwan recording the largest increases. “During the Chinese New Year holiday period, from February 7 to February 18, the airport handled an average of more than 150,000 passengers and over 960 flight movements each day,” AAHK said. “Traffic peaked on February 18, with 160,600 passengers using HKIA.” HKIA passengers for the reported 29 days were 71.7% of the 5.9 million travellers who passed through the airport in February 2019.
