Maintenance services provider, AAR Corp, has signed a contract extension with Sumitomo Precision Products (SPP) covering the pair's V2500 engine component distribution agreement. The contract extends AAR Corp's exclusive agreement to distribute the V2500 pneumatic starter and starter control valve on behalf of SPP and expands the agreement to V2500 starter/valve subcomponents.

Cathay Group has rebranded its 100%-owned catering subsidiary, Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.), to Cathay Dining. “We have invested heavily over the years to transform Cathay Dining into a world-class provider of dining solutions and experiences,” Cathay’s chief operations and service delivery officer and Cathay Dining chair, Alex McGowan, said. “The new brand reflects this and underlines the important role dining plays in helping Cathay achieve its vision of becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.”

CFM International, a 50/50 joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, is using machine learning technology to improve health monitoring of LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in service.

Hong Kong International Airport has commenced trialling renewable diesel in ground services equipment in partnership with Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited and Shell Hong Kong Limited.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines has completed the expansion of its aero engine component factory in Nagasaki, Japan, more than doubling its size to 11,000 square metres. “The expanded facility will accommodate some manufacturing processes currently outsourced to overseas suppliers. The shift will allow fully integrated production of combustors and strengthening manufacturing facilities to support significant increases in production,” the company said.

Metrojet Engineering Clark has established an aircraft hangar support station at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino Airport.
