Read More » The first flight of the restored service to the Northern Mariana Islands will take off on May 5 under the command of the airline’s chair, Captain Jeff Sun. Flight HX76, operated by A330-300 registration B-LHL, will depart from Hong Kong at 2000 local time and touch down in Saipan at 0220 the following day. After two hours on the ground, the A330-300 as the reciprocal HX77, will land in Hong Kong around 0700. Hong Kong Airlines is the only airline to fly nonstop Hong Kong-Saipan. “Since its initial launch in 2016, our Saipan service has been very popular with travellers, not only due to the island's natural allure but because of Saipan's visa-free policy, which facilitates easy travel,” Captain Sun said. “We are exploring the opportunity of adding frequency to the current service. Since our restructuring was completed April 2023 we have regained a healthy operating track and reconnected with the world by gradually resuming routes and opening destinations.”
