Batik Air Malaysia launches no check in baggage economy fare

Batik Air Malaysia has expanded its new fare structure to more international routes. Read More » Last month, the Lion Air Group carrier unveiled its “economy fare family”. It offers a lower fare option for no check-in luggage on domestic Malaysia routes and flights to Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) countries. This week, the LCC expanded its Super Saver, Value and Flexi economy fare brands to its international network, except to Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said the new economy fare family represented affordability and convenience for travellers and highlighted the sustainability benefits of offering a carry-on luggage only option. “As part of our eco-conscious initiatives, we encourage our passengers to travel light to support reduction of carbon emissions and contribute to a more sustainable future,” Datuk Chandran said.
