Air China reports 14.2% passenger growth for April

Air China flew 12 million passengers last month, up 14.2% from 10.5 million customers it transported in April 2023. Read More » Domestic passenger numbers increased 3.6%, to 10.3 million, and international passengers carried were 279.1% higher at 1.3 million air travellers. The traffic update said capacity, measured by available seat kilometres, rose 14.2% in the month and the passenger load factor improved 8.2 percentage points to 78.8%. The airline group's fleet stood at 914 aircraft at the end of April, an increase of three aircraft from the end of March. During April, the Star Alliance member added one ARJ21-700 and two 737 family aircraft. There were no aircraft retirements.
