Philippine Airlines wet leases two A330s for peak travel season

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has signed a wet-lease agreement with Spain-headquartered Wamos Air for two A330-300s for five months to cover aircraft in its fleet unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Read More » The two A330-300s, which were configured with a business and economy cabin, have been earmarked to operate PAL's daily Manila-Sydney and five times weekly Manila-Melbourne services starting June 1 2024 with the airline's cabin crew on board. “We have additional maintenance requirements during this period due to global supply chain issues that continue to impact the industry," PAL president and chief operating officer, Captain Stanley Ng, said. "We see the need to temporarily add these aircraft to ensure that we have sufficient capacity to meet the demand that we are anticipating across our network. We are working closely with the carrier to ensure that our passengers will continue to receive the service quality they can expect from Philippine Airlines."
