KLIA grew passenger numbers 29.5% in April

Passenger numbers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) rose 29.5% to 4.6 million in April 2024, from 3.6 million in the same month in 2023. Read More » The number of domestic passengers was up 9.1% at 1.3 million, while the number of international passengers was 39.5% higher at 3.3 million, KLIA operator, Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB), said in its monthly traffic report. MAHB said passenger growth at its network of airports across Malaysia had demonstrated "remarkable stability" in April. "The positive traffic development for Malaysia can be attributed to the festive season, which traditionally stimulates travel demand, and the proactive efforts of foreign and local airlines to expand seat offerings," MAHB said. "Both international and domestic sectors showed encouraging passenger trends."
