Air India signs up MedAire for emergency medical support on its flights

Read More » The airline will have round-the-clock access to on-duty emergency physicians with aviation expertise in the event of an inflight medical situation through MedAire's app Medlink. Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson, said engaging with MedAire for medical support on its flights reflected the airline's growth in long-haul services. "The partnership marks a significant milestone in the airline's transformation journey to become a world-class airline offering pleasant, safe, and reliable service," Wilson said. "MedAire's expertise in providing medical support services for airlines will meet the requirements of our expanding operations." Air India senior vice president of safety, security and quality, Henry Donohoe, added: “MedAire's in-flight app, MedLink, will guide the crew members through complex medical scenarios during an in-flight emergency. It will help them handle a crisis effectively, providing solutions until the aircraft reaches its destination." MedAire CEO, Bill Dolny, said the partnership with Air India reflected the two companies' "shared dedication to setting new standards in in-flight healthcare".
