ANA Group said its ANA Motor Services unit has converted a diesel-powered belt loader into an electric vehicle, extending the life of the vehicle which had been in operation at Tokyo Narita Airport since 1999 and was due to be scrapped in 2022. The belt loader was due to resume operations at Tokyo Haneda Airport during the 2024 northern hemisphere summer season.
Embraer, Eve Air Mobility and Groupe Aéroport de Paris have signed a memorandum of understanding for Embraer Services & Support to establish a new maintenance facility to replace its existing workshop at Paris-Le Bourget Airport and for Eve to develop advanced air mobility operations at the airport with electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
Technology provider SITA said it had acquired passenger handling company, Materna IPS, for an undisclosed sum. “By combining our solutions and expertise we’ll take the passenger journey, and the operations around it, to a dimension of efficiency never seen before," SITA CEO, David Lavorel, said.
SriLankan Cargo has selected CargoAi to simplify and enhance its airfreight booking and payment processes, with the cargo arm of SriLankan Airlines to implement a number of the digital freight technology company's products in its cargo booking and payment systems.
