FTAI Aviation Ltd has agreed to purchase Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) from Lockheed Martin Canada for $170 million. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is anticipated to close in the second half of the year.

ATR and FLY91 have signed a Global Maintenance Agreement. Under the agreement, ATR will provide repair, overhaul and pooling services of Line Replaceable Units, propeller availability, repair services and engineering and on-site support for FLY91’s ATRs. Initially covering two ATR 72-600s, the by-the-hour contract is set at five years with a clear path from FLY91 to increase its ATR fleet, within the same timeframe, to 30 aircraft.

Cairo Airport Company and Shanghai International Airport inked a deal at this week’s ITB China to partner on food, duty-free stores and other areas.

Collins Aerospace has launched its economy seat, Helix, for the single aisle aircraft. It is designed to reduce weight but preserve passenger comfort.
