Perth Airport and Qantas Group agree on terminal relocation

Perth Airport and Qantas Group have signed a commercial agreement, that includes the group's airlines Qantas and Jetstar, to relocate to the Airport Central precinct on the eastern side of the airfield. Read More » Jetstar will move its domestic services to Airport Central Terminal 2 in September and Qantas will shift its operations from Terminals 3 and 4 on the western side of the airfield to a new terminal at Airport Central by 2031. Perth Airport will invest more than A$5 billion (US$3 million) in terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey car parks with associated road works and our first airport hotel, Perth Airport CEO, Jason Waters, said. “Most importantly, it will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia that will host all flight services giving them a seamless, world class travel experience,” Waters said. Qantas Group CEO, Vanessa Hudson, said “this is the largest airport infrastructure deal in our history. It will enable us to create a world-class western hub and significantly expand our domestic and international services over the short, medium and long term.
