Emirates Airline to use SAF on its flights from Singapore to Dubai

Emirates Airline has begun using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in an agreement with SAF manufacturer, Neste, on its flights from Singapore Changi Airport to Dubai. Neste said approximately 3.3 million liters of blended SAF have been integrated into the fuelling system at Changi airport over the last few weeks to increase SAF deliveries to airlines. “The Emirates investment in Neste-produced SAF in Singapore marks the first step in our SAF adoption in Asia, a region primed to become a leading supplier of SAF, Emirates Airline deputy president and chief operations officer, Adel Al Redha, said. He added SAF continues to be in short supply. “We are excited Emirates has started using our Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel at Changi Airport as the next step in our cooperation. Emirates is the first international visiting carrier using SAF produced at our Singapore refinery and supplied to the airport via our integrated supply chain,” Neste vice president renewable aviation business, Alexander Kueper, said. Emirates operates SAF flights from Amsterdam, London Heathrow, Paris, Lyon and Oslo to its home hub.
