Batik Air Malaysia to boost Kuching and Penang network

Batik Air Malaysia will add more flights to Kuching and Penang from its Kuala Lumpur hub from July 25, increasing the Lion Air Group carrier's Kuala Lumpur-Penang rotation from 21 flights a week to 33 weekly. Read More » On the same date, Kuala Lumpur-Kuching will increase to 28 flights weekly from double daily at present. The additional services will support the SUKMA Games to be held in Sarawak in August, Batik Air said. The week-long competition anticipates bringing together 15,000 athletes and officials alongside 20,000 visitors. “We understand the importance of reliable and convenient air travel, especially during major events like SUKMA. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers,” Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said.
