Read More » The inaugural flight, VN648 operated by A321 registration VN-A512, took off from Ho Chi Minh City around 0100 local time on June 17 and touched down in the Philippines capital about 0430. The single-aisle was on the ground for 90 minutes before operating the reciprocal VN649 to Vietnam’s largest city. At press time today, the flag carrier also will begin three times a week nonstop Hanoi-Manila. “The Philippines is a high potential market for Vietnam Airlines,” the airline said. “Recently, Vietnam has become an increasingly fascinating destination for Filipinos due to its relatively short travel distance, unique culture, affordable travel costs and vibrant culinary scene.”
