T’way under EASA scrutiny ahead of the start of South Korea-Europe services

Read More » Recently the airline has experienced several delays due to aircraft maintenance issues, an EASA spokesperson has told Yonhap News Agency. They included four flight delay incidents in one week earlier this month that affected hundreds of international passengers connecting South Korea with Japan and Thailand. In the first half of this year, South Korea's transport ministry found evidence, during a special investigation, that T'way had used unauthorized parts in its in-aircraft heating and cooling systems. The LCC has announced it will operate Seoul to Paris from next month and gradually expand its schedule to Frankfurt, Rome and Barcelona. “Where necessary, in the interest of safety, EASA will be ready to react appropriately,” EASA spokesperson, Vera Tavares, told South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.
