China tour agents report demand for Mainland–Europe June and July flights soars

Read More » In the first two weeks of June, demand for July flights from major Chinese cities to Paris surged above 70% compared with a year ago and Paris hotel bookings jumped 150%, China online travel agency, Tongcheng Travel, said. Hotel bookings in Italy, to July 31, have increased three-fold against the same weeks in 2023 and accommodation reservations in France, Spain, and the UK have more than doubled in the same period, Qunar.Com reports. As a result of the strong demand, air fares and hotel rates across Europe are forecast to increase up to 40%, the online travel site predicts.
