Read More » The LCC will operate twice weekly nonstop Cairns-Christchurch from April 1, 2025, three times a week Auckland-Sunshine Coast from this December 13 and fly more frequently from Auckland to Christchurch and Wellington. Jetstar also is retiming Christchurch-Melbourne to offer better connections for travellers from or headed to destinations in Asia. “Having another aircraft based in Christchurch, as well as the launch of new flights and capacity, will help establish the city as a major gateway for Jetstar in New Zealand, providing more choice and great low fares for South Island residents,” Jetstar group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said. Christchurch Airport CEO, Justin Watson, said Jetstar's increased presence in the city was a “smart decision”.
