IndiGo has announced a partnership with the Garuda Aviation Academy to support the India LCC's cadet pilot program. It is the eighth cadet pilot program partnership the airline has established in the last 13 years. Graduates of the 21-month course must complete three months of ground school at Garuda Aviation Academy in Gurugram followed by 12 months of training at 43 Air School in South Africa.
Safran has commenced “exclusive negotiations” to acquire 100% of aerospace and defence Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, Preligens, at a value of 220 million euro (US$236 million). The transaction is expected to be completed by September. “The proposed acquisition of Preligens will boost the adoption of AI within the group, optimizing our agility and efficiency,” Safran CEO, Olivier Andriès, said.
UPS to sell its Coyote Logistics business to RXO Inc for US$1.025 billion, with the transaction expected to close by year-end. “As UPS positions itself to become the premium small package provider and logistics partner in the world, the decision to sell our Coyote Logistics business allows an even greater focus on our core business,” UPS CEO, Carol Tomé, said.
