Thai AirAsia predicts record core profit for 2024

Asia Aviation Pcl, parent of Thai AirAsia, has forecast record earnings from core operations in full-year 2024 as a result of a surge in international visitors that has allowed the LCC to increase airfares, Bloomberg Markets reports. Read More » Thai AirAsia CEO, Santisuk Klongchaiya, said: “China and India will be the major drivers of our earnings growth. Strong demand should continue to be a tailwind for our revenue for the remainder of this year.” He added the LCC plans to operate 60 airplanes that will include the addition of four new aircraft to its fleet. “We have difficulties in expanding our flight capacity as pent-up travel demand worldwide has put a strain on aircraft production and services,” he said.
