Airbus raises 20-year commercial aircraft delivery forecast

Read More » The latest Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF), published overnight, increased the OEM’s delivery outlook by 3.9% from 40,850 new aircraft deliveries predicted in its 2023-2042 GMF. The latest GMF said the combined 42,430 aircraft deliveries in the next two decades will comprise 33,510 single-aisle and 8,920 wide-bodies. “Over the last four years, air transportation again has proved its resilience through the deepest and longest crisis in its history,” Airbus said. “Now, traffic and airline operations are broadly back to pre-COVID levels or higher with a few exceptions.” The Asia-Pacific, excluding China, will require 9,990 new aircraft in the next two decades, up 5.4% from 9,480 deliveries calculated in last year's GMF. The Airbus forecast for China is higher by 80 deliveries (0.8%) at 9,520 aicraft.
