Philippine Airlines confirms no injuries after runway incident

Philippine Airlines (PAL) said the 53 passengers and four crew aboard PR2680 were uninjured when the aircraft over shot the runway at Busuanga Airport. Read More » The Dash 8-400, registration RP-C5905, was flying from Cebu to Busuanga. It failed to remain on the runway after landing, coming to a stop about 100 metres beyond the sealed surface. “All 53 passengers and four flight crew members were deplaned safely with no injuries reported,” PAL said. “We appreciate the patience and understanding of passengers travelling on flight PR2680 and those affected by the subsequent disruptions.” Local media reported heavy rain in Busuanga at the time of the landing. At press time, the turboprop was parked at Busuanga Airport, flight tracking websites report.
