Batik Air Malaysia and Etihad Airways to code-share on Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia routes

Etihad Airways is expanding in the Asia-Pacific in a new partnership with Batik Air Malaysia. Read More » The Abu Dhabi carrier is adding its EY airline code on Batik Air Malaysia-operated flights from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi, Penang and Tawau and to Da Nang, Hanoi and Perth. Indonesia’s Medan and Hong Kong are planned to join the code-share in coming months. Etihad flies double daily to Kuala Lumpur from its home base. “This collaboration significantly enhances our codeshare network, offering travellers seamless access to five key destinations in Malaysia,” Etihad chief revenue and commercial officer, Arik De, said. Batik Air Malaysia CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said: “We aim to establish Kuala Lumpur International Airport as a transit hub, enhancing Etihad's connectivity for passengers that will ensure a more comprehensive and convenient travel experience.”
